LevelUp Contractors by Biddle -
Honest Answers to the Questions We Get Asked Most.
Who is LevelUp Contractors by Biddle?
LevelUp Contractors by Biddle is a dedicated landscaping and outdoor transformation business founded by Lewis Biddle. We specialize in high-quality patios, fencing, and full garden makeovers across Redditch and Worcestershire.
Who will carry out my work?
When you book LevelUp, you get Lewis. I am a true sole trader, meaning I handle every aspect of your project personally—from the initial quote to the final stone laid. I do not use subcontractors.
Is Lewis qualified?
Yes. Beyond over a decade of hands-on experience, I am a qualified Horticultural Gardener with a Level 2 Diploma from the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
The 2 Invoice System
What is the 2 invoice system?
The 2nd invoice system protects you by separating material costs from labor fees. You pay for the materials required to start your project at trade price (Invoice 1), and then pay for Lewis's labor only after the work is completed and you are 100% satisfied (Invoice 2).
How does Invoice 1 work?
Once you accept our itemized quote and a booking is confirmed, Invoice 1 is generated for materials. We pass these costs directly to you at trade prices with no markup. This ensures all stones, timber, or materials needed are paid for and belong to you from the start.
How does Invoice 2 work?
Invoice 2 covers the labor cost for the project. In the LevelUp tradition, this invoice is only due for payment when the project is finished and you have signed off on the results. You never pay for workmanship you haven't received yet.
What if I need to cancel after paying Invoice 1?
Because Invoice 1 is strictly for materials, any materials already delivered or ordered belong to you. Since no labour is paid upfront, there is no complication with returning deposits for work not yet provided—you remain in complete control of your budget.
Why does LevelUp charge materials at trade price?
Transparency is a core value for LevelUp Contractors by Biddle. Many contractors hide hidden profit within material markups. Lewis believes in a fair, honest service where you pay exactly what the materials cost, and he is paid purely for his craft and skill.
Is there ever an upfront cost?
Never for labor. You pay for the materials (Invoice 1) when the project is scheduled to begin, but the labor portion of the project is entirely protected by the fact that you only pay upon completion.
How is this different to other contractors?
Most local contractors ask for a significant percentage of the total job as an upfront deposit. Lewis avoids this traditional model to remove client risk. Our 2-invoice system ensures your money stays in your pocket until it results in tangible materials or finished results.
Bookings and Quotes
How do I book a quote?
You can book your free, no-obligation quote online in minutes. Simply choose a time that works for you from our calendar and tell us a bit about your project.

Why do you charge materials at trade price?
Transparency is core to our business. You pay exactly what we pay for materials—no markups, no hidden costs. This ensures your budget goes directly into the quality of your garden.
Pricing and Payment
